BAV in the Netherlands, 27th April 2012:
Customers in the Netherlands now have a dedicated sales and service outlet. Newly signed BAV dealer, Gerlasco BV have a stock of sales and demonstration attachments from both the BAV Alligator Crusher and BAV-CB Crusher Bucket lines.
Gerlasco, was selected for its impressive track record selling the Allu screening buckets - complimentary to the BAV equipment and requiring similar technical expertise - and also for its very active (see picture from a show in Zeeland this week) participation in trade exhibitions.
The BAV line will wil be on show at the TKD exhibition from 7th to 9th June 2012.
HSE looks to revise tracked crusher law, 16th Feb 2012:
The HSE is considering outlawing operatives from standing on tracked crushers whilst they are in use – whether on an access platform, walkway or otherwise.
Accidents occurring under such circumstances are already closely scrutinised, whether that be death or injury cause by whole body vibration, a strike from the excavator bucket or rubble falling from it, or from the operative falling into the crusher jaws. Indeed the issue of operatives stood on tracked mobile crushers has been on the HSE’s radar for some time and is indeed one of the problems that we have tried to solve with the large, robust jaw designs on our BAVTRAK range. Lager jaw feeds help avoid bridging of material and the very strong crusher box designs resist damage from accidental inclusion of tramp iron.
Guidance for demolition sites is also likey to suggest that where the content of the feed material is in question - and large inclusions of metal are considered a high risk - processing before feeding into a tracked crusher using excavator mounted crusher buckets or jaws may be a more sensible option. The operator is better able to see and control the material and less liekly to incur damage to the plant and it removes the risk of damage to conveyor belts from reinforcing wires and other metals.

New leasing packages, 8th Nov 2011:
We are pleased to announce a new 0% deposit 5 year leasing scheme on all BAV Crushers' products for customers on the UK mainland (subject to status and terms). All crushing attachments and tracked crushers - and combination packges - can be leased on a simple 60 month term. At the end of the lease there is also an option to purchase for a nominal document fee, or simply hand the equipment back.
With the 100% tax write-down coming to an end in April 2012, leasing represents an effective way of getting monthly write-downs on the cost of equipment, as well as helping your cash flow.
